Pension Estimator - Overview

The Pension Estimator provides an estimate of your pension from the Healthcare Employees' Pension Plan (HEPP) based on information you provide. The information you provide and the estimates created are not reviewed, audited or verified by HEPP. As a result, the estimates produced are not binding on HEPP.

If information entered is incorrect, or if your future service and earnings differ from what is entered, your actual HEPP benefit entitlements will vary from entitlements projected by this calculator.

You should not rely on this pension benefit estimate in making any decisions or taking any action with respect to your HEPP benefits, for example:

• To make final retirement plans,
• To estimate termination benefits,
• If you are in receipt of a disability benefit,
• If you are retiring after age 65,
• If you have retired and are considering suspending your monthly pension and returning to work,
• If you have terminated your employment with a HEPP employer and have deferred your pension benefit,
• If you are contemplating or in the process of transferring a pension benefit from a non-participating employer,
• If you have experienced a marriage breakdown,
• If you will have less than two years of employment service at your estimated date of retirement.

Pension benefits under HEPP are determined according to factors such as salary and length of service. Producing an estimate requires approximating a future salary, employment status, increases in the YMPE (Year's Maximum Pensionable Earnings), and future retirement or termination dates. As such, the actual benefit you will be entitled to receive can only be calculated when you retire or terminate your employment.

Actual benefit entitlements, based on verified data, will be paid in accordance with the Healthcare Employees' Pension Plan Text and applicable legislation in effect at the time you retire.

The estimates provided through the online Pension Estimator do not convey any actual entitlement to benefits, and are not binding on HEPP.

No personal information is saved during the calculation process. The only information collected is an Internet Protocol (IP) address in the server access logs.
