The D&R Plan supports rehabilitation programs for eligible claimants. A Rehabilitation Specialist or external rehabilitation provider may be assigned to assist in establishing a suitable rehabilitation goal for you. The Rehabilitation Specialist or external rehabilitation provider will develop your personalized rehabilitation goal in consultation with you and your treating Physician(s). Your union and Participating Employer may also be consulted as members of your rehabilitation team. Your Rehabilitation Specialist will monitor your rehabilitation program; however, your D&R claim continues to be directed by your Claims Specialist.
The HEB Manitoba rehabilitation program is mandatory. Refusal to participate in an Approved Rehabilitation Program will affect your entitlement to D&R Benefits (see Termination of Benefits section).
