Termination of Coverage
D&R coverage ends when one of the following occurs:
- Your employment terminates.
- You transfer to an employer who does not participate in the D&R Plan.
- You change jobs with a Participating Employer and start working in an employee group that does not participate in the D&R Plan.
- You cease work due to an unpaid LOA or layoff and do not maintain D&R coverage.
- A paid LOA exceeds one year or the paid educational LOA exceeds two years.
- You reach age 64 and eight months.
- You change to casual employment.
- Required D&R premiums are not paid.
- You are on an unpaid sick LOA and have not made D&R premium payments.
- You work part-time and have not worked, on average, at least 15 hours per week in the immediately preceding calendar year. Your D&R coverage will terminate on December 31.
- The D&R Plan terminates.
- Your death.
